You do not want guests watching what your members paid for. In this video you will make guests log in, limit a video to one role, give one video its own rules, and write a clear message for people who cannot watch. You need the free MediaShield plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Make guests log in. Limit a video to a role. Give one video its own rules. Then write the messages viewers see. Step one. Make guests log in. Open MediaShield, then Settings. Require Login is in the General card. When it is on, only signed in users can view protected videos. Settings save by themselves, so there is no Save button to press. Step two. Limit a video to a role. Open a video to edit it. Under Video Settings, Restrict to Role limits who can watch. Choose the role that paid, such as a member role. Then click Update. Step three. Give one video its own rules. Protection Level sets this video apart from the site default. Pick None, Basic, Standard or Strict for this video alone. The rest keep the default from Settings. Step four. Write the messages viewers see. Back in Settings, the Login and Access Messages card has three texts. Login button text is the label on the button. Access denied text is what a signed in person reads when they may not watch. Tell them what to do next, such as join. That is all four. Guests made to log in, a video limited to a role, one video given its own rules, and the viewer messages written. Only your paying members can now watch. Next in this series: Protect videos you already host.
