What neither version does

It cannot hide a platform's video ID
Hiding the file address works for video on your own server. YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia and Bunny embeds carry their own IDs. On nginx, self-hosted files also need the server rule that Site Health gives you.
No captions, quality menu or chapters
The player has no captions or subtitles, no quality selector, no picture-in-picture and no chapters. If your course needs captions, that rules it out today.
Only videos in the library are protected
A video you add to MediaShield is protected wherever it appears. A video you never added passes through untouched. There is no Elementor or Divi widget.
