Your course videos are your product. In this video you will use a protected video in a Learnomy lesson, so the people who watch are the people who enrolled, and see the lesson the way a student does. You need the free MediaShield and Learnomy plugins. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Find the video in your library. Choose a protected video for a lesson. See the lesson as a student. Then give members a My Videos page. Step one. Find the video in your library. In MediaShield, open Videos. Every video you add is listed here, with its protection level. These are the videos you can use in a lesson. Step two. Choose a protected video for a lesson. Open a lesson in the Learnomy lesson editor. Content Type lists the kinds of lesson. One is Protected video, from MediaShield. Choose it, and a list of your MediaShield videos appears. Pick the one for this lesson. Then click Update Lesson. Students watch it through MediaShield, so your rules apply inside the course. Step three. See the lesson as a student. This is the same lesson, opened by an enrolled student. The video plays in the lesson, with the lesson controls beside it. A student who watched part of it can pick up again, or start over. Complete marks the lesson done. Step four. Give members a My Videos page. In any page editor, open the Block Inserter and search for My Videos. Choose the My Videos block, and it lands on the page. It shows a member the videos they watched, with their progress and a link to resume. Put it on a members page, and click Update. This page is not saved here. That is all four. A video found in the library, a protected video chosen for a lesson, the lesson seen as a student, and a My Videos page for members. Your course videos are now protected. Next in this series: See who watches and finishes.
