How to read heatmaps and realtime viewers in MediaShield Pro. See where viewers leave, and who is watching now.
Transcript
One lesson can lose students without anyone telling you. With Pro, the heat map shows where viewers leave or skip, the device breakdown spots playback trouble, and the live view shows who is watching now. You need MediaShield Pro. It takes about a minute. It shows steps one, two and three of the full video, Find the lesson that loses students. Step one. Open the heatmap. In MediaShield, open Heatmaps. Pick a video in the list at the top right. Playback Engagement shows how many viewers reached each part of the video. Tall bars are watched by many. Short bars are where people leave or skip. Step two. Compare devices. Below the chart, Device Breakdown lists each device and browser, with sessions, users and average completion. If one device finishes far less than the others, the lesson may play badly there. Step three. Watch who is viewing now. Realtime counts the viewers watching right now, and refreshes by itself every fifteen seconds. Each row names the viewer, the video, how far along they are, their device, and how long they have watched. Find the lesson that loses students. For the whole job, watch the full video, Find the lesson that loses students.
